The most manpower in a buying house is in the Merchandising and Quality Control Department. Merchandisers have to confirm orders through regular communication with overseas buyers via email, telephone, Skype, Lab Deep-Sample-Trim Card etc. to complete the approval. At the same time order placement, costing, production follow up in the factory.
Since almost all communication has to be done in English, a merchandiser has to be proficient in English verbal, writing, listening. You also need to be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Photoshop. Most merchandising jobs can be applied with a graduation degree. Currently graduates from textile and textile related institutions are preferred for merchandising jobs.
